After the administration and the police determined that the building was safe, the lockdown was removed, and the school went into a hold for the remaining portion of the school day, which was around forty-five minutes. It was permitted for students to leave school at the conclusion of the school day, just as they would ordinarily do. Activities that took place after school were not affected.
It was through the collaboration of our school resources officers and the White Bear Lake Police Department that more officers were brought to the high school. Reetz stated that they placed the student in question under hold while they continued their investigation, and then they placed the student in lockdown while they completed their investigation. Officials from the law enforcement agency came to the conclusion that the object in question was a replica weapon.
