Des Plaines Stabbing: Bicyclist stabbed driver in heated rage at Illinois, police investigates

According to the police, a driver was stabbed by a bike during a road rage incident that occurred on Friday in the center of downtown Des Plaines. At 12:15 p.m., the police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Miner Street in Des Plaines. Upon arrival, they discovered a Skokie man, 53 years old, standing in the roadway with stab wounds to his left arm. EMTs from the Des Plaines Fire Department then transported the man to the hospital, according to the police, who stated they swiftly treated the victim.

It was reported to the police that the man from Skokie was driving west on Miner Street when he came upon a cyclist who was travelling in the opposite direction along the road. Once the driver and the bike had finished their conversation, the bicyclist approached the window of the car that was located on the driver’s side, according to the police.

Following the exchange of additional insults, the bicycle allegedly began punching the driver through the open window of the vehicle, as reported by the police. Following the driver’s initial attempt to protect himself, the bicyclist allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the driver many times, according to the police.

The individual who was riding the bicycle was a man who was between the ages of 30 and 40 and was wearing khaki shorts, a grey tank top and a bag. Police say that he fled in a hurry.
