On Friday, September 27, 2024, Austin Charles Carter passed away. Austin was a loyal employee at Carter’s Flooring, where he proudly continued in his father’s footsteps. He was a member of Local Union 413 with great pride, and he was renowned for his hard labour, kindness, generosity, and compassionate nature.
Austin was a dedicated participant in the sport that he cherished for more than 25 years, during which time he was a member of the American Motocross Association. The only thing that could compare to Austin’s dedication to his career was his immense enthusiasm for dirtbike racing. When he was only four years old, he joined the racing world and quickly became known as number 765. He participated in tracks all across the Midwest, and he frequently raced alongside his father, Sam, and his son, Jace.
He was fearless in his pursuit of excitement, and he approached life with a “full tilt” attitude, meaning 100% of his attention and energy. His desire for spending quality time with his sisters, whom he cherished and admired, and his passion for playing video games were both characteristics that reflected his spirit of adventure well.
In addition to being a man of profound faith, Austin was a treasured member of Osceola Grace Church from a very young age. In Haiti, where he frequently went on mission trips, he found great delight in serving the people and making a difference in their lives. He was able to accomplish this by volunteering his time. The fact that he had a deep affection for Haiti was a manifestation of his dedication to assisting those who were vulnerable.
