Carly Renee’ Kudzia, a 14-year-old who was both intelligent and energetic, passed away in her residence on Friday morning, October 11, 2024. She had a profound impact on the lives of many.
Carly’s motto is “tiny but awesome,” and it is evident in all of her endeavours. Despite the fact that Carly is a typical second-grader, participating in Girl Scouts, learning tap and jazz, excelling in math and becoming fiercely independent, her “typical” existence concludes there.
She was one of 17 children in the United States who are coping with progeria. Progeria is an exceedingly uncommon genetic disorder that results in an annual increase in age of eight to ten years. Children with progeria exhibit small stature, shortened life spans, and are susceptible to heart disease and stroke, as well as other conditions that are typically associated with the general population as they age. These conditions can manifest as early as six years of age, as opposed to 70 or 80 years of age.
Carly had passion for cookery, dolls, travelling, playing school, making slime, Curious George, and watching YouTube videos. LOL Surprise Dolls are her most recent fixation; she enjoyed collecting them, observing YouTubers unwrap them in videos, playing with them, and creating her own videos.
The Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton will host a visitation for Carly on Saturday, October 19th, from 3 to 8 p.m.
