A shooting that involving a law enforcement officer is currently being investigated in Walworth County. On Monday, October 7, at around 3:45 p.m., a 911 call was received by the sheriff’s office. The caller indicated that he was being assaulted by a lady who was armed with a razor blade at a property located on Wilmers Grove Road in East Troy.

To confirm that a suspect had used a razor blade to cut the caller, officers were dispatched to the site where the incident occurred. The suspect allegedly escaped the apartment through a window while carrying a knife, according to the authorities. A Walworth County deputy sheriff fired their rifle, striking the suspect, despite the fact that the suspect had been told multiple times to drop the weapon. Additionally, the suspect continued to approach towards the cops.
It was determined that the suspect was in critical condition when he was sent to a nearby hospital. The victim sustained injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
