There is a new true crime documentary that has been released, and it is about the killings of Layla Danielle Silvernail, Michael Hodo, and Camille Quarles. The facts of the documentary are so disturbing that viewers are left feeling unsettled. In spite of the fact that there are a great number of new documentaries that will be available on streaming services this month, YouTube is often the greatest place to go to see true crime videos.
Explore With Us continues to put out one-hour in-depth investigations into terrible incidents such as the crimes committed by Brian Cohee, while we wait for JCS to release his next movie (I just wanted to let you know). ‘Mom Horrified After 12 Year Old Son’s Confession’ is the headline of the most recent video that was released yesterday (October 9), and it investigates the killings of Silvernail, who was 16 years old, her lover Hodo, who was 17 years old, and her friend Quarles, who was 16 years old.
Initially, the case began when a terrified woman called her neighbour, claiming that she had heard gunshots coming from outside of his residence. After arriving at the site, the police discovered that Silvernail had been shot in the head on multiple occasions.
A second body was eventually revealed to be that of Hodo, and as the police began making contact with friends, they became aware that Quarles was also missing. Additionally, they were able to determine who the three individuals had been hanging out with on the night that they were found dead. Robert Robinson, who was already serving time for another offence, was able to assist in identifying another of the suspects, who was referred to as “Three-Five.” Robinson was 17 years old at the time. And the authorities were taken aback by the revelation that it was Christopher Atkins, who had just been 12 years old at the time this occurred.
It was possible for the officers to bring them in for questioning alongside their guardians. During the course of the interrogation, they attempted to place blame for the crimes on each other until they eventually admitted the truth. It was also determined that Tahj Brewton, who is 16 years old, is a third suspect in the crime.
Previous story regarding the death Michael Hodo, and others on March 2023
The sheriff released a statement on Friday stating that two juveniles have been taken into custody in connection with the killings of three teens that occurred in the “rural, tight-knit community” of Ocklawaha, Florida. The sheriff also stated that the third suspect, who is also a juvenile, is still at large.
When Layla Silvernail, who was 16 years old at the time, was discovered shot on the side of a road on March 30, Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods stated that she was the first victim. Another fatally shot victim was found the following day on the side of a road approximately half a mile distant, according to the sheriff. The victim was a seventeen-year-old boy.
One day later, the sheriff reported that Silvernail’s vehicle was discovered half submerged in a pond approximately nine miles away from the location where she had been discovered. According to the sheriff, the third victim, a female who was 16 years old, was discovered inside the trunk with a gunshot wound.
According to statements made by Woods during a press conference held on Friday, the three victims were all members of gangs and were involved in the commission of burglaries and robberies individually. At one point, the three victims and three suspects were all in Silvernail’s car. The suspects then “turned on our three victims and murdered them,” according to Woods. The victims were killed by the suspects. The sheriff stated that the goal was to commit a robbery.
The suspects “fled the scenes, but left a lot of evidence in their wake,” Woods said, adding that the two youths who are currently in jail had been detained for first-degree murder. “Without giving it any thought, they took a life. According to Woods, “They are deserving of the full extent of the law.” Layla Silvernail was described as “a caring young lady, an amazing athlete, and a treasured teammate to so many young girls” by Russell Pierce, the Chief Executive Officer of Southeastern Fastpitch.
“She was a softball player from a young age and played for many teams in both recreation and travel softball,” Pierce stated in a statement sent by her family. The newer and younger members of the team were known to be inspired by her, and she was known for motivating them to play hard and believe in themselves. In all honesty, she was a very talented softball player.
No information on the identities of the remaining two fatalities has been made public.
