At approximately 5:30 a.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on McKee Road near Carroll Road, approximately eight miles north of Huntsville. James E. Warren III, 25, of Florence, was operating a 2002 GMC Sonoma when it collided with a 2005 GMC Yukon, which was being operated by Nathan G. Small, 24, of Hazel Green.

Warren was declared deceased at the site. Additionally, Small sustained an injury and was subsequently transported to Huntsville Hospital for medical treatment. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is conducting an investigation.

According to the Madison County Coroner Tyler Berryhill, there was also another collision that took place in Huntsville at approximately 6:30 in the morning near the intersection of North Memorial Parkway and Winchester Road. Both a motorbike and an SUV were involved in the collision.According to Berryhill, the operator of the motorbike, John Cooper,, who was 63 years old and from Toney, was pronounced dead at the site. Huntsville police are conducting an investigation.
