According to the Bronx police, a 40-year-old male from Yonkers was fatally shot in the Norwood neighbourhood on Wednesday afternoon. Kavon Reid, the victim, was discovered with gunshot wounds to the chest and limb.

At approximately 1:47 p.m., the incident took place at the intersection of East 198th Street and Bainbridge Avenue, which is located within the 52nd Precinct. A 911 call was received by officers, who arrived at the scene and found Reid incapacitated and unresponsive.

Reid was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital by EMS, where he was initially listed in critical condition. According to authorities, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made. The investigation into the gunman is still ongoing by the police.
